Vegetables and fruits
For the last few years, it has been possible to pick up a bag of biological vegetables and fruits weekly at Student Union AKKU. You will get a bag full of delicious vegetables and fruits, of which one is always a ‘forgotten’ vegetable. This makes it easy to eat healthy and varied.
Biological vegetables
The vegetables orginate from a biological farm near Hemmen called De Stroom. They are harvested a day before you pick them up. Our vegetables are delicious and healthy because no chemical pesticides or fertilizer is used. This is also done because its most friendly for our environment. The vegetables in the bag are season dependent.
Biological fruits
Besides from the bags of vegetables, you can also get a fruit bag at AKKU. Each week, this bag includes three or four different kinds of fruit. Where possible, the fruit orginates from the local region and is seasons dependent. Among other things, the bag can include apples, pears, strawberries, blackberries and grapes. During the winter, this is complemented with fruit from Southern Europe, like oranges, mandarins and kiwi’s.

Several sizes of vegetable bags
1) Bag for one person at 6,75 euro (blue coloured bag)
2) Bag for two persons at 10,00 euro (green coloured bag)
3) Bag for three persons at 14,50 euro (paper bag)
4) Bag for four persons at 17,00 euro (crate)

1) regular at €8,50
2) middle at €11,50
3) large at €17,00
The prices listed above are for a single week. It is also possible to get a bag once every two weeks. Let us know if you prefer that/
Pick-up
Each week you can pick up the bags of vegetables and fruits at our office:
Heyendaalseweg 141 room number N-1.280. Opposite to our office is a storeroom where the bags are placed. This storeroom has room number N-1.326. Can’t you find it? Walk in our office to ask help.
You can pick up the bags every Tuesday from 12:00 till 18:00 and every Wednesday from 09:00 till 18:00. If by coincedence you can’t make it in a certain week, send us an email at groentenenfruit@akku.nu before 17:30 on Wednesday. We can subsequently store your bag in the fridge, so that you can pick it up later the same week.
If you pick up a bag, you can sign off at the list that’s sticked to the door of the storeroom. In the storeroom, there also is a crate in which you can deposit vegetables which you don’t like. These are free to take for you or others!
Don’t forget to take your old bags back to the pick-up point, so that they can be re-used.
Modifications
If you want to make any modifications to your subscription, perhaps a bigger bag or a different adres, send us an email at groentenenfruit@akku.nu. If you want to skip your bag for a single week, email us before Friday 14:00 at the same email adress. That’s when we order the bags for the upcoming week.

Did you not subscribe yet, and would you like to do so? Let us know by email on groentenenfruit@akku.nu. Include the bag size you would like, and your personal details (name, telephone number, home adress and bank account). Moreover, you will need to sign to autorize the payment. Just walk into our office and ask the board member that is present.
